It gives me immense pleasure to connect with librarians, LIS professionals, researchers, faculty members, students, and knowledge seekers from across the country as we begin the National Librarian's Day Campaign 2026, leading up to the celebration of the 134^th Birth Anniversary of Padmashree Prof. S. R. Ranganathan, the Father of Library Science in India, on 12^th August 2026.

This campaign is a heartfelt tribute to the remarkable legacy of Prof. Ranganathan and a celebration of the invaluable contributions of libraries and LIS professionals in advancing education, research, innovation, and lifelong learning.

The theme of National Librarian's Day 2026 - "Libraries: Connecting People, Preserving Knowledge, Empowering the Future" perfectly reflects the transformative role of libraries in today's world.

As we launch this nationwide campaign, I warmly invite academicians, librarians, researchers, students, and all members of the academic community to actively participate in the National Librarian's Day Campaign 2026.
